Please note that the following information may be subject to sudden changes due to the COVID-19 situation. We will follow the orders and guidelines of the Government and the health authorities.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Update: 3 August 2021
• Southwest Finland is now in the spread phase of the coronavirus epidemic. What does this mean for ABOAGORA?
We are waiting for information on new guidelines and restrictions and will limit the number of attendees at the Sibelius Museum. We will notify all registered participants of the arrangements as soon as possible. You can find more information on the coronavirus epidemic on the website of the Hospital District of Southwest Finland.
• Where can I register?
Register by 11 August at: https://konsta.utu.fi/Default.aspx?tabid=88&tap=10820
Please make sure to give your up-to-date contact information during registration!
• Why do I have to leave my e-mail and phone number during registration?
We ask you to provide your e-mail and phone number so we can keep you updated in this rapidly changing situation. You will also get an email with instructions and the link to the ABOAGORA livestream after the registration is closed.
• What does it cost?
The basic registration fee is 20 €, and for students and doctoral candidates it is 10 €. By paying the registration fee, you will have access to all of the sessions and performances (excluding Third Space’s Prologi on Friday, Aug. 20 at the Turku Cathedral, for which tickets are sold separately at the door).
Attending the AGORA (keynote) sessions is free of charge, but you must register in advance. See https://aboagora.fi/programme/agoras/ for details.
• Can I watch recordings of ABOAGORA after the livestream has ended?
Most of the programme will not be available afterwards, so make sure to register by August 11 and join us as the event takes place! After the Symposium, we will publish recordings of some of the open AGORA sessions on our YouTube-channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/Aboagora .
• Do I need to decide in advance whether I will attend on-site at the Museum or online via livestream?
By paying the registration fee you will have access to all of the sessions both at the Museum and via livestream, and you can choose freely, whether to attend in person or online. If you want, you can follow some sessions at the Museum and some via livestream, and you don’t need to inform us in advance. Registered participants will be offered coffee and snacks at the Museum during the event, so to prevent food waste, we ask whether you plan to attend primarily on-site or remotely. However, the answer is not binding, and you are free to change your plans. Please note that we will need to limit the number of attendees at the Museum in accordance with the restrictions and guidelines laid out by health experts and authorities.
If you only sign up for the open AGORA sessions, you will likewise receive instructions both for attending the sessions at the Museum and for following the livestream, and you can choose freely, whether to join in on-site or online. Please note, however, that we will need to limit the number of attendees at the Museum. During the AGORA sessions, priority is given to invited guests and people who have paid the registration fee, and remaining seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cleaning at the Sibelius Museum is enhanced, the number of attendees will be limited if necessary, and guests are kindly reminded about safety distances as well as hand and coughing hygiene. Coffee and snacks will be served outdoors. For safety reasons, the Closing Reception will also take place outdoors.
