Below are answers to some common questions regarding ABOAGORA 2024 “Mars, the Bringer of War”. Please note that the following information may be subject to changes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can I register for the event?
Registration is open until August 20 here.
Please make sure to give your up-to-date contact information, so we can inform you of possible changes.
What does it cost?
The basic registration fee is 50 €, and for students, doctoral researchers and professional artists it is 20 €. By paying the registration fee, you will have access to all of the sessions and performances in the programme.
The following sessions are free of charge and open to all:
- Wednesday August 28, 16:15–17:45: AGORA: Martial sounds and silences (Susanna Hast & Noora Kotilainen)
- Thursday August 29, 10:15–11:45: AGORA: Music and the human right to peace (working title) (Prof. Dr. Manfred Nowak)
- Friday August 30, 15:15–16:45: AGORA: When Peace Comes (Thella Johnson)
- Love Antell: Friday evenings at six o’clock
- Paul Krispijn: Mars – War Gods and masculinity
Where do the sessions take place?
The sessions take place at the Sibelius Museum (Piispankatu 17, Turku), except for the following:
- EVENING RECEPTION: Art exhibition opening Mars – War Gods and Masculinity on Wednesday 28 August, 18:00–19:00, takes place in Luostarin Välikatu.
- INSTALLATION: XR installation Friday evenings at six o’clock on Thursday 29, 16:15–17:30, takes place at Kurjenkaivonkenttä / Tranebrunsplan.

Are the event locations accessible?
Accessibility information on the ABOAGORA 2024 “Mars, the Bringer of War” locations is compiled on our accessibility page.
Will there be food and drink served at the event?
For all registered participants, coffee/tea and small snacks will be served during coffee breaks in the Sibelius Museum atrium (or indoors, if it rains).
Will the event be livestreamed?
The event will not be livestreamed.
Will the event be recorded?
The three keynote (AGORA) sessions will be recorded and some of the recordings will be published on our YouTube channel after the event. Other sessions will not be recorded.
The event will be photographed and the photos will be used for ABOAGORA’s marketing and communication purposes both during and after the event. If you have any questions or if you wish not to be photographed, please contact us at aboagora[at]utu.fi.
