We want to make participation in the ABOAGORA Symposium as pleasant and safe as possible. For safety reasons and to comply with the current restrictions and guidelines, we are taking the following measures:
1) The number of audience members at the Sibelius Museum will be limited to 30 and the total number of people, including performers and staff, will be limited to 50.
To ensure that it is possible to maintain safe distances to others throughout the event, we will monitor the number of people at the venue during each session. The number of audience members will be limited to 30 and seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The total number of people, including performers and staff, will be limited to 50.
If all of the seats are already taken, you can follow the session online instead. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding in these difficult circumstances!
2) Cleaning at the Museum is enhanced
Our staff will clean the microphones and surfaces regularly.
3) Coffee and refreshments will be served outdoors and the Closing Reception will also take place outdoors.
In case it rains, the coffee/refreshments and the Reception will be moved indoors.
We also ask that all of our participants do their own part in making this a safe event for everyone. If you are going to join us at the Sibelius Museum, please read and follow these instructions carefully:
1) Wearing a mask is strongly recommended!
There will be masks available at the Museum, but if you have masks of your own, we recommend using them. Please wear a mask even if you have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. Masks are recommended also outdoors in situations where keeping a 2-metre distance to others is difficult. Further instructions on using masks are available on the website of the Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL).
2) Keep your hands clean
Please make sure your hands are clean when you come to the museum. Wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer provided at the site. Do not touch surfaces unnecessarily. Cough and sneeze into your elbow and clean your hands after wiping your nose.
3) Always keep a 2-metre safety distance to others
Inside the museum as well as outside, whether lining up for registration, coffee or using other services, please keep a safety distance of 2 metres to others.
4) Come to the Museum only if you are feeling well
If you have any symptoms, please go get tested for coronavirus and otherwise stay at home/your accommodation. You can follow the event via livestream. All registered participants receive instructions for participating online. If you are an audience member, you don’t need to inform us if you can’t make it to the Sibelius Museum.
5) Please note that changes in the programme and Symposium arrangements are possible
We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and will adhere to the orders and guidelines of the Government and health authorities. We reserve the right to changes.
We will keep you informed of any changes via e-mail, and you will always find the latest information on our website at https://aboagora.fi/frequently-asked-questions/
